Thanks to MacyG88 I have decided to create this topic.
I think that if we share about something personal from our life, it could make us closer to each other. MacyG88 already made one step to it - his new topic about "Disabilities and or Scars" is one of the best threads in General Discussion forum. It's very inspirational and could make you believe in yourself much stronger!
But here, I want to that we tell about the most scariest moments in your life. When you fear some event or something else so strong, so it really could become something really very bad and worst moment in your life. Tell about something, which you still remember with fear.
Here is mine the most scariest story in my life:
It was 2002 or 2003 year, winter, evening. It was already pretty dark and I was too far from home, in center of city. When I finally decided to go home, I ask one man one the street what time is it right now? He said something about 19:00 hours (24 hours system). So then I go to subway, from there I could reach my home faster. This man, which told me the time is start following me... Here is the most scariest part has begun.
In the way he try to start speak with me, but I walk forward and didn't listen. Maybe I was too young, but one parents rule I remember correct "DON'T SPEAK WITH STRANGERS". So when I finally enter to the train in subway, it start move and I saw, that this man is in train as well and try to stand near with me... Hopefully there was a lot of people, so he didn't. When train finally reach the station, from where it wasn't too far to my home, I go... This man continue to follow...
When I start come closer to exit from subway, I stop and look, what this man will do (he walk on other side from me, so I don't start think he follow. When I stop, he stop just before exit as well... At this time I fear get all my body.
I decide to go home and not mention this man... He follow me again.
When I reach the street, where wasn't any man (street was empty) I start fear much more, cause this man follow me just right behind...
Then he start speak with me again... And here I discover a very scary true - he is a pedophile!!! He start offer to me a money for sex... I start walk faster... He as well and start offer more money for just touch my penis... In cause of I was little, I scary a lot! But I now the street, where we walk, so I RUN VERY FAST to my friend's house, which was not too far from... Hopefully for me friend was at home so I enter to him and stay there for some time... I tell him that story, which happen with me... Then I go home from my friend. He live very close to me, so I didn't fear anymore this man, which follow me...
Can you imagine that? The small boy, which was far from home was followed by pedophile! Evening, when was very dark, like at night! That story I will never forget... I so scary about what could happen then... But thank God it didn't.
If I met those man now, I would probably kill him... Damn this world for existing of such bastards!
Two other events could make me an invalid: I was smashed by car, but hopefully for me, it was not so fast, so I stay not harmed. Other event was, when I fall down from roof of garage - all my life run in front my eyes at this moment, but hopefully for me, it was winter and falling wasn't harmed for me - it was just a strong smash on the ground, but I didn't harmed... It's like a God watch over me and save me from such scary events. God, thank you for all of this!
After such things I become really stronger emotionally. I think, if I still stay alive after such things, that means that I have some great destiny in future, probably destiny of some other man or woman is depend on me... And it's probably true, cause In last 5-6 years I have done a lot of good things.
It seems that destiny really exist and all this event happen with me just to make me stronger, as person and prepare me for more greater thing in future.

Umm, not much to say on the one time I felt afraid.
It was back in the 4th grade, I was at my brother's house. There was a party going on with a lot of kids in the pool, I was trying to get something from the deep end of the pool. I wasn't a very good swimmer, and still I'm not since I've only taken a few swimming lessons, so I fell into the deep end. I was scared of drowning, barely knew a thing about swimming quite honestly and so it took me a while to finally get back to the surface. I was scared as I was needed to breathe, I was down there long enough that at some point I ended up drinking some of the pool water. What's even worse is that no one seemed to noticed what happened, which really sucked.
I've never really bothered with swimming after that point on. I've been to the beach, been to a pool but I've never, ever bothered going on the deep end as it's a fear I had since I was a kid. I tried learning how to swim and I sort of did, both underwater and on the surface but I never got good at it. I only know enough underwater swimming to get out of a sticky situation like that of last time.

Thanks for the mention, GKL. And wow. That was awful what happened to you. I'm not a violent person, but people like that guy praying on a defenceless, scared and confused child should be dragged out on the street and shot. I'm glad you were okay. It just makes me feel horrible knowing others who don't get as lucky as you.

MacyG88, agree. Such people didn't have any rights for life - they corrupt the meaning of life itself. Bastards...
Still, it's good that it's all in the past now - it makes me stronger to present.

I am hesitant to put the scariest moment of my life on here, becasue I don't think I can talk about some of our operaitons over the internet - but generally, getting shot at, seeing people killed by bombs and having rockets/mortors land where you live is scary, because you never know where a rocket will land. You just wait and hope it doesn't hit where you live. I also live in a tent with my co-workers, and there is really nothing to stop shrapnel, so getting attacked by rockets while sleeping scares me if it lands within 100 meters. It is loud. I am jumpy at loud noises now and panic a little bit when there are loud bangs.
I do have one from my childhood that was quite scary for me as an 6 year old.
My father was in the Marine Corps at the time and because of it, he had to go on an 8 month boat tour during the Gulf War (Desert Storm), leaving my mom and me at home alone. This story might sound like a brinks home security commercial, but while my dad was gone, someone tried to break into our house while I was sleeping. The burglar broke into a side door of our house that lead into the garage with a crowbar or some kind of wedge object and my dog ran outside of the garage and knocked over our trashcans. After, he wedged the door in the garage that lead inside of the house. After that lock was broken and opened, our house security alarm went off. My mother ran into my room and grabbed me and we hid in the closet. She grabbed my dad's extra K-Bar knife and the cordless phone and called the police. It took the police over an hour to show up to the house. I was afraid the entire time. When they arrived, they called us out, but my mom was afraid it was not them. We were relived when we saw nothing was taken and that the police were there.
Luckily, it seemed that the house alarm scared the person and they did not come into our hose after that. We had to get the doors and locks repaired, and my dog was not hurt by the person, but just waiting with my mom in the closet and waiting so long was terrifying. I thought I was going to be killed and just wanted my dad to be back.

The scariest moment of my life was when I was about 13. Me and all my buddies from the neighborhood would ride around on atv's and dirt bikes. It just so happened one my real good friends at that time got into a terrible jam. I won't go into much detail because it's imprinted in my brain and its depressing. Well, we would ride around this one area that looked like a huge crater in the ground. It was called "the pit", so we always be up riding around. Well, one day, a friend of managed to whipe out and hit a tree, and pretty bad. Me and my other friend Jim had to carry him back down, and I remember sitting there with him when we made it home and looked awful. He wasn't talking, and was just making awful noises, and I was in pretty rough shape as well because I feared for his life. Hours after that though, he actually didn't make it, and I was crushed and depressed for a while after that.
So that would of been it for me, that was when I was most scared I've ever been and then worst part about it was that what I was scared of actually happened. So after that, I'm pretty much paranoid and I'm a safety nut when it comes to trail riding.

Probably the scariest point of my life is when I used to have my blackouts, I used to always get so angry with them, from ripping a sign off a chain-link fence tied with cable ties, to breaking the weak part of a 2x4 over my forhead, and I also used to throw picnic tables up off of they're legs, like completely off the ground, so yeah I think the scariest part about my life is the fact that I used to have my blackouts, which are gone, thank God

I was sort of hesitant to tell this story, but I know a few people here already know, so oh well. The scariest moment of my life was the car crash I was in when I was 12. My mom was killed instantly and my sister and I were crushed and trapped in the back seat. My sister was unconscious, and it was terrifying to have no one answer my cries. I passed out so I don't remember much really, but I can still feel the terror if I think about it, which I try not to. I hope I never feel that again, and I hope no one else ever has to. Outright frightening. I think it's possibly why I'm so claustrophobic.
Edit: Thanks for making these topics, it actually feels good to share.

I really don't have that much of a scary moment, the only one I can recalled happened when my mom was pregnant with me. It was during the earthquake of 1994 (The Northridge one) and my mom was in her room when the earthquake hit, a piece of the roof fell on her, it took about 30 minutes to get her out. They rushed her to the hospital afterwards and had to do an immediate ultrasound since the dooctors at the hospital found out she was pregnant. When they checked they really could't come to a serious conclusion on what will happen to me since they couldn't gett a good view. I had about a 55% chance of making it through my birth.
Well, this came back to haunt my mom as a few months later I was born at seven months. My worst problem was that mmy heart was not beating properly and my lungs were not tsking in enough oxygen...I had to sttay in the hospital for a week.
From what we can guess, if that piece of roof hadn't landed on my mom then I would have been a healthy baby boy, but I guess we can't get what we want....fortunately I don't have to go to the doctor to check my heart and lungs anymore.

God... I have read all the stories and it seems that life could be such a bitch sometimes
Little Sister, TheStoic, Misfit... I couldn't even imagine, through what you have come to present... It's really scary moments - I just can't even imagine what you have felt at those moments... God... Life is so cruel in some points of our lives.
Thanks for sharing, after you know something like this about person, you start refer to them more kindly and with more understanding of him like a person.
Tezuka, your story scary as well, cause it could become really into something worse, like with other stories - that's scary a lot, but now it's all in past, the only thing which we could do is live with this.

I have a few scary moments I can recall, some of which sound almost too far fetched to be true.
1. When I was younger (maybe about 15 or so) I went for a family holiday up to Queensland. It was the middle of summer and quite hot, so we went to a giant luxurious resort where the pools were carpeted with sand. I swam over to the deep end at one stage, and started dropping under the surface, swallowing water, then popping up for a quick second or two to breathe before sinking again. I can't swim that well, so while this was going on I tried to shout "Help!" but the only people who heard me thought I was joking and were laughing. This continued for 10-15 seconds, before I somehow managed to reach the side of the pool and pull myself out.
2. On the way home from a Sunday picnic when I was younger I was sucking on a square hard Fanta candy. We went over a bump and it got lodged in my throat, causing me to begin choking. We stopped the car as I couldn't breathe properly, and I started the throw up on the side of the road with the candy still stuck in there. I stood there bent over for some 10 minutes and we eventually got going again, but I couldn't get it out and had to wait for it to dissolve. My oesophagus felt stretched for hours after that, it was horrible.
3. When I was 18 I went to pick my sister and her friend up from the movies around 9:30pm. On the way back to her friend's house we drove up behind a car full of teens who were driving really slow and reckless everywhere. I flashed my lights at them to say "get out of my way" (which they did), and I continued on my way. After dropping off my sister's friend and taking off we saw them again, from which time they began following us. I had my suspicions, so I started taking deliberate turns into different streets and sure enough they kept following. Eventually we came to a stop at a red light, and the car pulled up behind us. I told my sister to lock the doors, and we just waited casually. I looked in the side mirror to see about 3 guys approaching the car on both sides, and before I knew it I could hear them swearing at us. One tried to open mine and my sister's doors, and another tried to kick in the back passenger door window twice. I took off through the red light, sliding around the corner sideways a little cause it was damp. Luckily no cars were around, cause I didn't even look. I shot down the road as fast as I could, going through red lights until I lost them. We drove into a small side street and sat there with the lights off for a few minutes, before backtracking down the same road toward the police station. At one stage we saw them shoot past on the other side of the road, so we drove down a dark stretch with no lights on. We spoke to the cops for a few minutes and waited around, as one of the officers lived down my way and had just finished his shift and offered to follow us home till we felt safe.

This one sounds VERY scary - your heart probably was ready to jump from your chest? That's really bad, that in the world we always have someone, who ready to harm good people just for nothing

): Damn woman. I know you've probably heard it a million times but sorry for your loss, going through that at any age is terrifying and horrible let alone 12 years old.
Car accidents are some of the most single violent acts you could possibly go through.
I have a bad car accident story in the scar thread, that would have to be one of my stories if I were to put one in this thread, just don't feel like telling it again.

Man. Great thread.
A couple of things.
I almost got kidnapped when I was like 9 or 10. I was walking home one autumn night. It was like 7 PM but the days were short so it was already dark. I saw a white, beat up station wagon. There was a creepy guy that just looked like bad news in the car. He gave me the 'come here right now' gesture with his hand. I bolted up a 1 way street hoping he wouldn't follow me. He did. I remember the engine reving and the sound of tires screeching against the pavement. I kept running as fast as I can until I jumped over my fence and barged through my back door.
When I was 12 I had a knife thrown into my back. It hit my diaphragm and jusyt barely dinged my lung. I was hospitalized for about a week.
