Got a personal goal for the upcoming year? Post it here! I achieved all my goals in 2011 so I hope I can keep up my good track record for next year too.
Last year I resolved to reach a healthy weight after years of being too thin and I did it. I also challenged myself to find happiness and inner peace. I'm not fully there yet but I'm making great progress. I know next year I'll make it happen.  |

1.) Work harder in school so I can graduate earlier.
2.) Change my attitude towards people. (Wanna know why? PM me.)
3.) Clear my mind of the past.

I do have a few goals I want to strive for in the new year.
First off, before I leave Germany, I want to get in the best shape of my life, and I have already tailored a workout plan for myself that I plan to stick to that will last for 12 weeks. My goal is not to lose weight or get insanely jacked. I like where I am at with my body superficially, but I do want to gain healthy weight in muscle (I am a little thin) and to be in great athletic and aerobic condition to make a positive first impression when I get to my next military unit in Korea when doing Fitness Tests and fitness training.
I also want to learn Korean in 2012 - not to a fluent level, but to a level that is polite enough to show I have studied and is conversational enough to purchase things, order at restaurants, and make a friend or two. Living in Korea will help this goal immensely. I am excited to get there.
That is really all of my main goals right now. Very achievable for me, yet still a challenge. |

I have a few short term goals such as learning Chinese and starting my workout sessions again, maybe relearn Japanese as well. Long term goal of the year is pretty much finding a place I can truly call home. I'll probably buy a small notebook to keep track of everything since I'm also trying to be more organized.
Lastly there is a forced goal I made with a friend - a bet that I can learn how to cook Asian food so that seems interesting as well. |

Jack Burton's Resolutions for 2012
1. Finally make my screenplay idea into a tangible reality...hopefully, a movie.
2. Make writing more than just a hobby, but something I can actually profit off of.
3. Exercise more.
4. Make a better effort at having a social life...in other words, GET OUT MORE instead of choosing to stay home alone.
5. Briefly ponder giving this "love" thing a try, then even more briefly opt to keep on flying solo or whatever today's kids call it.
6. Create my own, knock-you-on-your-ass mixed drink and call it the Six Demon Bag...if you've seen Big Trouble in Little China, you know what I'm talking about.
7. Think of a resolution I'll actually stick to for 2013.

1) Quit smoking cigarettes.
2) Quit eating and drinking unhealthy shit.
3) Get into a regular exercise schedule and stick to it.
4) Get financially stable in this crazy environment.

1. Exercise more / Join a gym by the end of January
2. Finish a good portion of my games before Feb 26
3. Finish the books all current books in 'A Song of Ice and Fire' before Feb 26
4. Try to learn guitar more throughout the year
5. Get Iron Will during January
6. Get a new job as a pharmacist assistant
7. Trying to find happiness/inner peace is just setting yourself up for failure; my goal is to be happier. |

Workout again (haven't in a while). Lose some weight.
Train for upcoming volleyball season
Get more friends latley this year there have been a lot of people I have conflicts with, but I'm turning the corner cause I resolved some of them, others can't be fixed though.
Be friendlier with my sis we fought a lot this year and it pisses my parents off so it usually ends in me being grounded.
Break things off with girlfriend(she's been an ass lately and I can't stand it it been going on for a few months). But I am going to wait to see if she changes so that will leave me a little time to think it over. |

Hmm, I generally never make resolutions because I never have the stability of life to stick to them, but this year shall be different.
1. Become more positive.
2. Enjoy what time I have left with the people I truly care about.
3. Find my Prince Charming (Though, that one probably won't come true, but I can hope)
4. No rushed relationships. All of the ones I've had since my marriage broke down have been utter trainwrecks, so time to take things slowly and assess the situation BEFORE getting in over my head.
5. No drugs for 6 months [Might be hard; but I have a new-found determination, so I'll make sure that I damn well succeed].
6. Find a better paying job.
I'll let you know how I do this time next year :3

I've had a pretty rough time since 2007, so 2011 is another year I'm happy to say goodbye to. Because of my age, I've made a personal decision to make 2012 all about me. What I've been lacking for years is happiness within myself, and it's my hope that next year I can finally get it.
The first step in this is putting my job on hold in February, and travelling over to the United States where I'll see some family, go to NetherRealm Studios and the main attraction: Alisa. From there I may even stay for a few months depending on how things go.
A lot of my future is up in the air right now. I have no idea where I'm going to end up; all I know is that I need a ton of luck cause it's been lacking.
So to summarise I guess:
1. Find inner happiness
2. Find a place I can live that makes me happy
3. Be with my girl <3
4. Attain a new job that I can be proud of
5. Reclaim my status as BOSS |

Well, I'm overweight and would like to get that in check. In reality, I'm not that far off my target weight, but laziness and bad eating habits combined with a snail slow metabolism have done me no favors. Since heart issues run in my dad's side of the family, and he had two heart attacks, I figure I should deal with it now while its within my grasp. So I'm going to work on changing my diet and getting more exercise.
Also, I'd like to quit making excuses, and get back into my projects. I draw, write, make music and any other thing that suits my fancy...only I haven't done any of it in a year or more. A couple doodles here and there just aren't doing it for me. So I intend to make a better effort at working on my projects.
Lastly, to keep trying everyday to change my outlook on life, be more accepting and more positive. Life is shite enough without carrying around the venom and animosity. I'd like to keep letting all of that go in the New Year. Hate begets hate. Love begets love.
Those are my resolutions. |

My only resolution is to quit taking painkillers. It's gotten way outta control this last year due to a lot of stress (loss of unemployment compensation, dead end job, school, etc.).
If I can figure out a way to be naturally happy and carefree again without opiates then I will be a happy camper. |
