I was just wondering if the Kami members who aren't too busy would like to organize a game night?
I know everyone don't have the same days off or games or systems. But every now and then it'd be cool for us to chose a game, and a date, and just have a day where we game. And no, we wouldn't play for a full day, just try and play on your spare time. During that day, we all get online and play some stuff together or whatever. I don't see as many people online these days as I used to.
Just wondering if other kami members would be interested in a game night? Whether it be Weekly, Bi Weekly, The first and 15th of every month, whatever. I got way too much time on my hands lately, not sure if anyone else is in a similar boat, but whatever. Kami game night, who's interested? I'm sure it's probably been proposed before.

| If there's anything the Kami mk9 tournaments have taught me it's that organizing set dates and times for members of this site to meet online and play a game is alot easier said than done. And taking this general idea and expanding it beyond just M K opens the door to all sorts of different obstacles we never even had to worry about with the tournaments which turned out to be hectic enough to manage in the end regardless. Dont get me wrong if a few members wanna get together and see if they cant put a little something something together every now and then that's a fine idea hell I do that all the time even. I only mean to say that having this held as a regular or official sort of event is probably unlikely to yield fantastic results. |

I would participate in this kind of thing if it got started and if enough ppl got into it. Thing is, some games have reigon lock, which is a major pain in the ass, and some ppl dont share the same game library as others.
The MK tourney was really only bad because no one played their matches/wasted everyones time/simply forgot about the event. BUT, it was easy to set it up since everyone had MK9. With this, we gotta hope that someone besides 2 ppl from the site has this game, or if anyone likes that game anymore. So, Im all for Kami Game nights, just need to know what we got planned. |

| Deep down it really depends which games have easy accessibility and which consoles people are more likely to have. I've played with a wide range of members before on PC/360/PS3 so a game night isn't impossible but I feel like an official Kamidogu game night is harder to do than rounding your own friends and agreeing to play with them on a set date. |

This exactly. While it's a great idea, Glacius. It's a pain in the ass to set up, maintain, and run effectively/smoothly. |

I'm all for this but as stated above there are a lot of things to get organized before anything can happen, and even then things might not work out.
Maybe if we all found a multiplayer game we all like and got it? I don't know, just throwing ideas out there. |

Yeah I wouldn't mind this, and if we do this night with the "Committed Kami" members I think we can make this a go. This statement though doesn't mean new guys are not invited to tag along, but as long as the season veterans are the majority participating in this we should be fine.
Here we should be a bit analytical on what can be possible.....
1.) MK Night: US/Aussie Edition (both on the same night or different)?
2.) UMvC3 Bash: No Region Lock = Pretty Much Anybody is in
3.) A Call of Duty Night: For some of us who do shooters (Nazi Zombies match)?
4.) LBP Party: I remember wanting to do this one when LBP2 Came out, the majority of us have LBP I think now because of the PSN Reward we got during the outage
5.) SFIV/SxT: It's coming up, the newest thing in Fighters. Should be a bit easy
6.)

10.)
Left 6-10 Blank to let the rest of the community have some ideas thrown in. I say let's go for it, let's think of something at least. |

I wasn't assuming it would be organized. I just figure it'd be nice to have a thread to see if it's worth it. I figure if we even get 4-8 people on the rare occasion, it might be worth it. Say we had it on Saturday's, every now and then, you could check online to see if you were interested. Chances are a couple people would show up at least, every now and then, maybe a small group. That's good enough for me.
Every now and then, I figure it'd be fun to play some less popular games as well. Maybe a few people play some Dead Island or the Gotham City Imposters beta. |

So PS3 users, how does next Saturday sound?
I'd like to organize a Dead Island play as well, if anyone is up for it. I'm free for like... Forever so if anyone is up to get together and fight some zombies, let me know and I'll see if I can work something out. |

I'm interested, but I'm not sure if anyone plays the games I'm currently playing. When I get some money, I'm DEFINITELY buying either a PS3 or a Vita, and MK9 for said system. I'll also get some other games, depending on my budget. And when I do, I'm looking forward to playing with my Kami brothers and sisters.  |

^^thats a good idea...I can play twisted metal a lil bit next Saturday. I have a clan in twisted metal if anyone is interested in joining. That'll make it easy for us to team up and play online |

March schedule added to front page. I'll update when necessary.
Official Game time will always be around 12:00-3:00 PM PST on weekends but it's not strict. Just try and get on whenever you can. if enough people are frequenting online throughout the day, we should be able to get something on the go. If you want to get on earlier, great. If you want to say real late, great. The whole day can be dedicated to Kami Game night if desired.
So, anyone up for some Dead Island the following week? I'm thinking the following Saturday for both PS3 and 360, but it's easily changable. Just need to know if there's any demand. Dead Island was fun online, but I never got online too often.
I wish we could all get together and do something retro some day. I'd love to play some old school GoldenEye haha. |
