The EB Expo (Australia’s largest gaming convention) officially drew to a close late Sunday afternoon. Spanning October 5-7, it was only the second year that gaming retailer EB Games had put on the show. Promising to be bigger and better than 2011’s debut meeting, the convention certainly did not disappoint.
When news first broke of Ed Boon’s presentation of Injustice: Gods Among Us and his first trip to Australia as part of the show, fans were a buzz with excitement. Despite his heavily engaged schedule, Kamidogu was able to secure an exclusive interview with NetherRealm Studios’ Creative Director thanks to the efforts of Warner Bros. Australia. We would like to offer our sincerest thanks to Joel and his team for making our time at the WB Booth during the expo highly enjoyable.
There were no shortage of Mortal Kombat and DC Comics fans roaming around Sydney Olympic Park, with a number of familiar faces making appearances throughout the sessions. Chris! Great, great interview. Lots of information that I don't know yet. It looked like Ed was really happy to be there and you asked great questions, all of which he answered. I love that after he answered you went right to the next question. Some interviewers go "Cool. That's awesome man" etc afterwards and it's awkward. You seemed really comfortable.
Also, whoever did the camera for that interview was great as well. Thanks for the video and I hope you had lots of fun there! |

It's so funny seeing you next to someone I've idolized since childhood. 
Ed seemed really excited about the new direction NRS is taking and that made me really happy. What interested me the most is that the fights aren't going to be divided into rounds. It's straying from the classic format that I've become accustomed to from playing so many fighting games and I actually think it'll be a welcome change. Fingers crossed this skyrockets within the competitive scene; it's got the potential to bring a breath of fresh air to the tourneys. |

That was a bad ass interview!. Congratulation Chris, that was very professional, interesting and informative.
I don't know much about this game, and I don't really care about it, but it seems to be very good. I'm happy for you and this site, 'cause from the day I registered here I never thought the admin would interview Ed Boon personally.
You did a great job as always, man.

Great job on the interview. Got some good information on the game that has heightened my interest in it. It really seems like NRS is trying a lot of new ideas not just to separate Injustice from MK, but to see what they can bring into the table of the fighting genre. I wish them the best with Injustice and look forward to its release.
Also, anytime I see Ed I always think to myself "This dude lives/works 1-4 hours away from me". I hope to meet him someday. |
