Mortal Kombat and DC Comics fans alike have been spoiled today, as Midway released a whole heap of media to quench our thirst while we await the release of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.
First up comes the official release of the screenshots that were distributed among the six most popular fan sites. Hot on the heels of our exclusive Baraka and Deathstroke shot comes five more images, featuring Wonder Woman, Raiden, Scorpion, Baraka, Liu Kang, Batman, Kano and Superman engaging in various kombat modes.
Next up comes a further two screenshots, which shows off the game's Practice mode. Within this mode players will have the option to take part in a Kombo Challenge, which will help them learn about the game's expansive combo system.
Hans Lo and Hector Sanchez take up the microphone this week, as episode eight of the highly popular MKast is published after a hiatus. Joining the boys this week are Art Director Steve Beran and Technical Art and Environmental Lead Dave Pinrada. As always, the panel answer a few questions, and talk about the world of Mortal Kombat.
Finally, two new videos have emerged on IGN and GameTrailers, which showcase never-before-seen footage of the kombatants' special moves and finishing moves. The first video, titled Super Moves/Pro Moves sees Senior Designers John Edwards and Paulo Garcia explain how advanced users can take advantage of the new Pro move system to formulate their own intricate combos. The second video, labelled Finishing Moves, shows off three finishing moves from the game, including those of Green Lantern, Raiden and The Flash. To view either of the movies, click on the thumbnail images above.

The fighting engine looks really like MK2's with a few additions...
Other than that, this game will be awesome!

As a hardcore Raiden fan, Jack Burton just creamed himself...
Excuse me while I change my pants... Ahh, okay. I wish Raiden followed that up with a right cross to the skeleton to turn it to dust. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN EVEN MORE AWESOME!!!
And THAT'S what Jack Burton has to say at this time.

Wow, gotta say this is an awesome update, it shows the characters in more arenas and in more situations that come to life as the game's release is not too far off, still curious when we're going to get to see Shao Kahn and Darkseid, which I don't think anyone will see them till the game's release, but I love this update.

You have been chosen to represent Earth in Mortal Kombat. Be warned. Although your souls are protected against Shao Kahn's evil: your lives are not. I cannot interfere any longer as your Earth is now ruled by the Outworld Gods.
These are the words of Raiden

Wow! I loved Green Lantern´s Brutality, but Raiden´s fatality is the best fatality i have ever seen.
I hope now for Sub-Zero´s ice and Liu Kang´s dragon fatalities

Oh my fucking god! That video just got me so pumped for the game, that its not even funny. Now I am actually incredibly excited for this game. The backgrounds are all beautiful and just the fact that I got to see alot of cool characters in action was way too cool. All the supermoves are fantastic, as well as the fatalities.

Raiden's Fatality reminds me of his altered MK I Fatality for the Super NES.The one where he electrocutes his victims and turns into a pile of bones and ash.
