Born 1968 in Chicago, Illinois, Carlos Pesina is a skilled martial artist and employee of Midway. He is most recognised as the actor who played Raiden in Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2 and Mortal Kombat Trilogy. He continues to work for Midway as a motion capture artist and animator. His older brother, Daniel Pesina, also played various Mortal Kombat characters in earlier games such as Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat 2. |

The Pit II consisted of numerous bridges suspended over a large stone floor. Kombatants unlucky enough to loose their footing or those who were knocked off the bridge fell to a painful death. |

A place of kombat during Shao Kahn's invasion of Earthrealm. Kombatants could finish their opponents by knocking them off the bridge, sending them plummeting down into numerous spinning blades that would tear them apart. |

The bottom level of the Pit arena was where the remains of murdered warriors were found impaled on spikes. It is also where many kombatants first noticed the elusive Reptile during Shang Tsung's Mortal Kombat tournament. |

This arena lies in the Highlands of Outworld. The portal spins like a hurricane on its side with lightning striking in the centre. This gateway is very unstable and unpredictable. Druids stand guard as watchers. |

The Prison was where kombatants did battle during the events of Mortal Kombat 4 and Mortal Kombat Gold. Automated robots hovered throughout the area fitted with searchlights, scanning for any signs of intruders. A giant spinning fan garnished the rear wall which many kombatants made use of, tearing their opponent into pieces. |
