Lord Zaggot was a god of chaos, featured in the Mortal Kombat: Goro Prince of Pain trilogy of comic books. He received his sinister strengths through the disruption of events in the universe. Zaggot is almost always accompanied his a talking crow, Rook. He found it necessary to create the Kombatant once proposing the position to Goro, receiving refusal. Later, Zaggot reveals his true form to Goro for purposes of intimidation, only to be eaten by him when the lack of ensuing chaos causes the god to shrink in size. Zaterra was home to Reptile's race of Saurians before it was annexed by Outworld through ten consecutive victories in Mortal Kombat. It used to be ruled by a matriarch. Her influence on the other members of the Saurian race was so strong that over time, they began to devolve and revert back to a more primitive consciousness, the longer they were separated from her presence.
It is unclear when Zaterra was conquered by Outworld, but Nitara's vampire people kept records of their existence before they were annexed by Outworld as well. The known Saurians also seem to retain no memories of their home world, which suggests that the konquest of Zaterra happened in a distant past. Though the Saurian people inhabited the realm prior to being conquered, their first home was most likely Earthrealm which they were forced to leave during the catastrophic battles between Shinnok and Raiden. |

During Shujinko's travels in Outworld in Mortal Kombat Deception's Konquest mode, he came across a band of Tarkata who had surrounded the walls of the city of Lei Chen. At its entrance stood Mileena, who ordered Shujinko to deliver a message to Overlord Zeffeero: surrender his head, or his people would pay the price. Upon confrontation, Zeffeero refused to give in to such demands, and went on to speak of the growing Tarkata whom Lei Chen's militia would stand no chance.
Zeffeero asked Shujinko to travel to Orderrealm, where he could enlist the services of Hotaru and his Seidan guardsmen. Knowing full well that Hotaru's stubbornness was almost impossible to alter, and that the city of Lei Chen was in grave danger, Shujinko lied and said that Overlord Zeffeero offered to hand over control of his city to Orderrealm if they could drive away Shao Kahn's militia. Hotaru agreed, and made haste toward Outworld.
After returning to Outworld, Hotaru told Shujinko that Zeffeero had no recollection of his agreement to hand over control of his city. As a consequence, he had stripped him of his status as overlord and claimed the city of Lei Chen for Seido. |
