After amassing more than $125 million at the worldwide box office, Mortal Kombat II is all set to arrive on digital and in physical form over the coming weeks.
Unlike the first film which suffered at the hands of the pandemic, Mortal Kombat II enjoyed a successful international theatrical release in early May. The film, regarded by as a huge step up from the original, arrives on all popular digital streaming services on June 9. Following this comes a number of physical editions, with the 4K UHD Blu-ray, regular Blu-ray and DVD release slated for July 28.
The physical editions of Mortal Kombat II will include some fun extras, including:

- Klose Quarters Kombat: Cast members and key creatives share insights into how the stunt preparation, intense fight scenes, and weapons training shaped both classic moves and new, merciless combat styles.
- A “Boon” to Gamers Everywhere: Sit down with chief Mortal Kombat mythmaker and creator Ed Boon for a deep dive into the franchise’s storied history and ongoing evolution that spans three decades of near-infinite games, films and comics, culminating with the live-action sequel.
A third Mortal Kombat film is currently in development, with screenwriter Jeremy Slater at the helm once again.
