YouTuber Bitplex has paid homage to his favourite title in the series by taking this question and making it a reality.
Rather than creating high-quality renders of the game’s arenas and kombatants or using modern techniques such as motion capture (a la the cancelled Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection), Bitplex has modelled the game’s original sprites and textures onto 3D models.
