As fans of the highly successful Terminator franchise prepare for the release of Terminator: Dark Fate later this month, NetherRealm Studios have unveiled the highly anticipated trailer showing the T-800 in action in Mortal Kombat 11.

Concealing his signature shotgun in a box of Johnny Cage action figures (a throwback to the iconic mall scene in 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day), a visibly aged Arnold enters battle donning his Dark Fate attire. An impressionist is voicing the T-800 as expected, although fans remain divided on the voiceover’s overall quality.

Featuring the likeness of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Terminator T-800 is the ultimate cyborg assassin, sent back in time from a post-apocalyptic future. Nearly indestructible with superior technology, fighting skills and artificial intelligence capabilities, the Terminator T-800 is the next playable fighter set to join Mortal Kombat 11, available Oct. 8 as part of the early access period for Kombat Pack owners.

Brandishing an automatic weapon in addition to his shotgun, the Terminator takes gunplay to a whole new level in combination with his brutal blows. His armoured endoskeleton is also revealed in the trailer, taking intimidation to new heights!

The Terminator T-800 will be available on October 8 for Kombat Pack owners, with general availability following one week later. As part of the update, a “Double Feature Skin Pack” will be made available, adding new skins for Johnny Cage, Sonya and Kano. Finally, a skin named “Cassie Quinn” will also drop on the same day, giving Cassie Cage a Harley Quinn appearance.
