Once again, protagonist Johnny Cage (Karl Urban) is front and centre, seemingly thrust into a world he doesn’t quite understand. While numerous fan theories currently exist, many believe the film’s first half will focus on the film star while the latter half will focus more on the rise of Kitana and Earthrealm’s warriors against the evil emperor Shao Kahn. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. What do you think of this latest trailer? Be sure to keep an…
TOASTY! The man behind Mortal Kombat’s most iconic music tracks has announced his retirement from the team after more than three decades. Dan Forden served as one of the original four team members who created the original Mortal Kombat in 1992 alongside Ed Boon, John Tobias and John Vogel. Its unique digitised graphics and gruesome finishing moves aside, a huge part of Mortal Kombat’s appeal came from its catchy soundtrack and crispy sound effects. Game after game he continued to perfect his craft, and although others eventually joined the sound development team his influence remained front and centre. Wednesday was…

As largely expected, Digital Eclipse and Atari have used Evo 2025 to jointly announce the inclusion of Mortal Kombat Trilogy in Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection. Released in 1996, Mortal Kombat Trilogy quickly became a fan favourite, bringing together an enormous roster of kombatants and arenas. In fact, it is the PlayStation port specifically that will be included with this kollection. While the digital version of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is expected in…

“Live free or die fighting” is the axiom on which the latest trailer for Injustice 2, aptly titled “Shattered Alliances Part 2,” is based upon as Superman’s regime grows in strength. Continuing where part one left us (on the edge of our seat), it begins with Lucius Fox urging Bruce Wayne to widen his circle of trust in order to usurp the regime. He is later seen teaming up with both The Flash and Green Lantern before things really begin to heat up. NetherRealm Studios have this morning unveiled the latest character to join the Injustice 2 roster: Doctor Fate. Possessing the powers of magic, super-strength, invulnerability, telekinesis, telepathy, pyrokinesis and lightning manipulation, Fate’s mastery is said to be invaluable in the fight to overthrow Superman’s regime. The son of an archaeologist, Kent Nelson and his father were exploring the Valley of Ur in Mesopotamia in 1920 when they discovered an underground pyramid. Upon closer inspection they found it contained Nabu, an ancient immortal from the planet Cilia who had been held in suspended animation for thousands of years. Upon his release, Nabu mentored Kent on…
Superman’s tyranny continues in Injustice 2 as he breaks free of the shackles that bound him to his solitude in “Shattered Alliances Part 1,” the latest trailer to be released by NetherRealm Studios. Completely blasé and seemingly unaware of his corrupted state of mind, Superman’s regime will rise again when Injustice 2 releases this May. Also joining the fray is half human, half machine Justice League member Cyborg. Star athlete Victor Stone only yearned for his father’s approval, but became his grandest experiment when Vic suffered devastating injuries. Replacing half his body with cybernetic parts, Cyborg is now plugged into every computer on Earth…
