After amassing more than $125 million at the worldwide box office, Mortal Kombat II is all set to arrive on digital and in physical form over the coming weeks. Unlike the first film which suffered at the hands of the pandemic, Mortal Kombat II enjoyed a successful international theatrical release in early May. The film, regarded by as a huge step up from the original, arrives on all popular digital streaming services on June 9. TOASTY! The man behind Mortal Kombat’s most iconic music tracks has announced his retirement from the team after more than three decades. Dan Forden served as one of the original four team members who created the original Mortal Kombat in 1992 alongside Ed Boon, John Tobias and John Vogel. As largely expected, Digital Eclipse and Atari have used Evo 2025 to jointly announce the inclusion of Mortal Kombat Trilogy in Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection. Released in 1996, Mortal Kombat Trilogy quickly became a fan favourite, bringing together an enormous roster of kombatants and arenas. Although it was also released for Nintendo 64, it was the PlayStation and PC ports that really resonated with fans as they contained crisper graphics and additional characters. Branding his signature hatchet, Nightwolf summons a lightning bolt in the teaser to celebrate victory over his opponent. While his attire remains largely unchanged colour wise, his default look has been updated to include new warpaint, as well as multiple pieces of armour.
