As largely expected, Digital Eclipse and Atari have used Evo 2025 to jointly announce the inclusion of Mortal Kombat Trilogy in Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection. Released in 1996, Mortal Kombat Trilogy quickly became a fan favourite, bringing together an enormous roster of kombatants and arenas. Parts of Port Adelaide were transformed to resemble the streets of Chicago as hundreds of extras poured into the highly secretive set for day one of filming. 9News Adelaide were there along with South Australia’s premier Steven Marshall to celebrate the state’s largest ever film shoot.
